Florida State University provides a variety of services across campus to support the academic and personal success of our students. Services related to each area are listed below.

    • One on one and group consultations for students suffering with alcohol and marijuana addictions

    • Free individual, couples and family counseling to students and the community. If an alcohol or substance abuse problem is causing you issues, do not hesitate to call.
  • FSU Psychology Clinic, 850.644.3006, 1107 W. Call Street
    • A mental health service, training, and research center operated by the Department of Psychology at Florida State University. Services are provided by doctoral level student therapists on a sliding scale.

    • By simply dialing 2-1-1, you reach caring, trained counselors who provide supportive counseling, information and referrals to programs within the community, and community referrals.

    • If you are struggling with a drug problem or feel you have become addicted, the Big Bend Area Narcotics Anonymous can help.

  • Nutrition
    • CHAW, 850.644.8871, 4th Floor of the Health & Wellness Center
      • Nutrition education and counseling for students to optimize their health and wellness, implement a healthy eating schedule, and address emotional eating and disordered eating concerns, among others. Nutrition consultations with a Registered Dietitian are $15 for initial and $10 for follow up. Nutrition consultations are FREE with a Nutrition Coaches.
    • Seminole Dining
      • Check out menus and nutrition information and learn how to navigate the dining halls a little easier.
  • Physical Activity

      • Offers Group Fitness Classes, Personal Training sessions, fitness testing, wellness consultations, intramural sports, outdoor activities and much, much more!

    • Offers individual and group sessions around various physical health concerns such as body image, disordered eating, and stress. Sessions are free to FSU students.

    • Includes general medical, urgent care, women's health services, psychiatry, radiology, physical therapy, laboratory, immunizations, and health promotion services. Specialty services include allergy clinic, dermatology, endocrinology, and diabetes educators.
  • On-Campus Confidential Resources

      • The University Counseling Center (UCC) is a welcoming and confidential place to come. They offer group sessions too - on Monday there is a Journey to Healing group for survivors of sexual violence.
    • Victim Advocate Program, 850.644.7161, University Center A
      • A confidential advocate is on call twenty-four hours a day to respond to FSU students, faculty, and staff who are victimized, or any other person who is victimized on our campus, or by an FSU student. 24-hour hotline: 850.644.1234 (Ask to speak to the on-call advocate)

      • As the principal health and wellness advocate, we envision a dedicated campus community that is transformed and inspired by ethical and innovative health policies and practices. UHS can provide emergency contraceptives and medical care.

      • Confidential, free, mental-health counseling, referrals, and other support services for employees.

  • Prevention Resources

      • Offers presentations on power-based personal violence prevention and consultations on collaboration for events with campus partners.

  • Neighborhood Medical Center
    • With various locations, see the website for contact numbers. Offer HIV and STI testing on a sliding scale. Neighborhood Medical Center Mobile Unit comes to campus on the first Wednesday of the month during Market Wednesdays.
